I don’t blame you, or hate you, or wish we never met. In fact, I cherish you and what we had, and what we started out with. If there’s anything I learned from anything at all, nothing good ever comes from regretting what was.
Love what you had. Love what you have. And when it leaves you or if you leave it, then move on and find something to smile about.

I can remember everything about that day.
I remember the smell of your hair. And the way you smiled. And the way your eyes smiled, and it gave me such a light yet wonderful feeling in my body. The very excitement of a new face, a new person; a blank notebook soon to be pages and pages of sad, yet beautiful life written along the hems.
I wonder, sometimes.
